BIOGRAPHY
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nicholas followed in his dad’s footsteps by becoming an attorney. While in law school, Nicholas worked with the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the U.S. Navy in Bremerton, Washington, and the Clark County District Attorney’s Office. Nicholas also externed with the Business and Professions Committee of the California Assembly during his last semester of law school.
After graduating from law school, Nicholas began his legal career as a law clerk and later as an associate attorney, honing his skills under the tutelage of two of Las Vegas’ preeminent lawyers, Tony Sgro and David Roger. There, Nicholas practiced primarily in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, and general civil litigation, successfully litigating hundreds of cases and logging dozens of victories in personal injury arbitrations and short trials. Nicholas also formerly served as one of only four attorneys in southern Nevada specifically assigned to the Las Vegas Police Protective Association’s critical incident response team, wherein he assessed cases and assisted in the immediate aftermath of officer-involved shootings.
Always dreaming of one day starting a law firm with his dad, former District Court Judge Richard Scotti, Nicholas jumped at the chance when the opportunity presented itself to them in October of 2022. Today, Nicholas has the distinction of serving as one of three court-appointed defense attorneys in the Adult Drug Court program, and as the only court-appointed attorney in the Gambling Treatment Diversion Court program. There, Nicholas guides and counsels his clients through all challenges they face during their time in each program.
In his spare time, Nicholas enjoys hiking, reading, watching movies, attending concerts, watching sports, and working with the Southern Nevada Officials Association as a high school football official.
